Hi, I’m Sree 👋
I’m a working mum to a lively 4-year-old and currently expecting my second child.
During my first maternity leave, I wanted to make the most of that special time — bonding with my family, reflecting, and enriching myself. Fast forward four months, while I cherished every moment with my baby, I realised I hadn’t really invested in me.
I wished I had used that time to reconnect with myself — by taking long walks, staying fit, or picking up a hobby I had left behind. But without a plan, even finding things to do that felt enriching became overwhelming. It felt like everything was designed for the baby or family, and very little existed to support a mum’s own mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing.
Now, as I prepare for my second maternity leave, I’m determined to approach it differently — with intention and care. My goal is to come out of this period feeling enriched, having nurtured my mental, physical, and social health while making meaningful memories with my family.
Through Mat Leave Reset, I want to support other mums who share that aspiration — to use maternity leave not just as a pause, but as a powerful time to reset, reconnect, and rediscover themselves.
